In recent weeks the Lance Armstrong scandal has become the hot topic of conversation. Armstrong is known world wide for his seven Tour de France titles as well as his survival of cancer, but he will know be remembered for what happened when no one was around. Armstrong lied about his drug use for years to everyone.

I recently read an article written by an ESPN coresponded who had several converstations with Armstrong about his use of performance enhancing drugs. Armstrong lied to him as well as everyone else that ever questioned him about his drug use. What I find hard to believe is that he could look someone in the eye and tell them he was innocent. He carried around this secret drug problem, he cheated, lied and wrote books telling people how much he had over come when it was all one big lie.

I would like to hope that he really is sorry for his actions and all the people he hurt with his lies, but I dont think he is.  It is good to see him come clean after all these years, but how can you forgive him after being a fake to all the people that supported and believed in him. I dont think he can ever make up for the damage done.
